Michael J Reader Honored with PMPA’s Frank T. McGinnis Merit Award
Elkhorn, WI – October 24, 2024 – Reader Precision Solutions is proud to announce that the Precision Machining Products Association (PMPA) has awarded Michael J Reader, CEO and Owner, the prestigious Frank T. McGinnis Merit Award at its annual meeting hosted in Dana Point, California. This honor, the highest recognition bestowed by the PMPA, acknowledges Reader’s exceptional contributions to the precision machining industry and his outstanding service to the Association.
“Receiving the Frank T. McGinnis Merit Award is an incredible honor, and I am humbled to be recognized among so many outstanding leaders in our industry who I follow,” said Reader. “The PMPA is a powerful force; not just because of its initiatives and advocacy, but because of the strength, commitment, and passion of its members. The PMPA has been a guiding force for our industry, and its members inspire me every day to push forward and strive for excellence.”
Reader, whose company has been a PMPA member since 1992, has played an integral role in the growth and advocacy of the precision machining industry. Over the years, Reader has demonstrated remarkable leadership and commitment to the Association, serving on several key PMPA committees, including the Executive Committee, Finance Committee, and Management Update Committee for more than 15 years. His contributions to the industry are extensive and far-reaching.
His service on the PMPA Board of Directors as Director-At-Large (2009-2012) and later as PMPA First Vice President (2016), Second Vice President (2017-2018) and PMPA President (2019) has solidified his legacy of leadership within the Association and precision machining industry.
“Mike’s passion for, and leadership of the association has been invaluable, his counsel is well respected, and he has and continues to step up to serve the association when called,” stated the PMPA Executive Committee. “It is impossible to document all the good that Mike has contributed to the association over the years, all of which embodies the merits of the Frank T.
McGinnis Merit Award – as one who has gone above and beyond the duties of an appointed or elected officer.”
The Frank T. McGinnis Merit Award is named after the Association’s Executive Vice President who served from 1952 to 1992. First presented in 1943, the award recognizes exceptional service and contributions to the PMPA and the industry, beyond the duties of any appointed or elected office. The award is not presented annually, but only when an individual meets the highest standards of merit and service.
