FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
ELKHORN, WI — October 18, 2025
Reader Precision Solutions opened the doors of its brand-new, state-of-the-art manufacturing headquarters on Saturday, October 18, welcoming more than 150 guests for a day that celebrated innovation, craftsmanship, and community partnership. The Grand Opening and Youth Apprenticeship Signing Ceremony marked a milestone in the company’s nearly 40-year history and underscored its continued investment in people, technology, and the future of precision manufacturing.
The event brought together employees, families, students, educators, business leaders, and local officials to celebrate the company’s growth and long-standing commitment to advancing workforce development in Southeastern Wisconsin. Guests toured the newly renovated 130,000-square-foot facility, watched live machining demonstrations, and engaged with local high schools, Gateway Technical College, and workforce partners who help bridge education and industry.
“This facility represents progress, collaboration, and opportunity,” said Michael P. Reader, President of Reader Precision Solutions. “It’s where technology and craftsmanship come together, where education meets industry, and where future generations can see what’s possible through innovation and community support.”
The morning featured a Youth Apprenticeship Signing Ceremony, led by Barry Butters, Director of Education and Outreach, and Amanda Griffoul, Vice President of Human Resources. Six students from area high schools signed official letters of commitment to join the company’s Youth Apprenticeship Program—an initiative built on partnerships with educators and technical colleges to provide hands-on, career-based learning in precision manufacturing.

Following the ceremony, the Reader family officially cut the ribbon to mark the grand opening of the new headquarters. The moment carried special meaning as three generations of the Reader family stood together alongside employees, students, and community members who have supported the company’s journey.
“This day is about honoring where we’ve come from while looking ahead to where we’re going,” said Michael J. Reader, Chief Executive Officer. “It’s a proud moment for our family, our team, and our community.”
